Following 23 years of teaching music in MPCSD, Richard Vaughan will be retiring. Alumni musicians are invited to participate in celebrating his career: Wednesday, May 1 at 6 PM - Spring Concert in the Hillview Performing Arts Center. Sit in and play with the alumni ensemble; RSVP here. Sunday, June 9, 4-6 PM - Performances and celebration outside at Bistro Vida on Santa Cruz Ave. No-host refreshments, open mic for brief roasts and toasts, and more. Alumni are invited to sit in and play with their alumni ensemble and must RSVP no later than May 20. Families and community members (not playing) or those interested in learning about SURPRISES planned, please email mrvretires@gmail.com.

MPCSD is engaged in facilities planning and has many critical needs across all campuses. We invite the community to learn more and stay informed about how MPCSD will invest in secure campuses, seismic safety, efficient infrastructure, and modern technology over the next several years. At its January 18, 2024 meeting, the Board approved shifting some areas in the downtown Menlo Park area from the Encinal to the Oak Knoll attendance boundary. This shift goes into effect for new families; currently enrolled students and families are not asked to move schools.
