Students and volunteers join School Board members to present the annual MPAEF grant.

At the June 4, 2026 School Board meeting, the district accepted the annual grant from Menlo Park-Atherton Education Foundation in the amount of $3,920,900. Thank you to every donor, volunteer, and the MPAEF staff for tirelessly working all year to bring this grant to fruition. The students, staff, and families of MPCSD are incredibly grateful for your support and partnership.

The next SamTrans bus you see might feature art by one of four Encinal students who won the 2026 Art Takes A Bus Ride contest! For its 50th anniversary the theme was Time Travelers Take the Bus: 50 Years in Motion. Encinal students dreamed up some great ideas. Read more in this InMenlo article.

Oak Knoll received a 2026 Kent award for its program that helps students build social skills, peer relationships, and cooperative play. “PALS has proven that the joy of play is actually the strongest foundation for academic readiness,” said Principal Alicia Payton-Miyazaki. Runners in the 2026 MPAEF Schoolhouse Rocks fun run

Thank you, community, for supporting our schools at the Menlo Park-Atherton Education Foundation's annual Schoolhouse Rocks 5K, Fun Run & Festival. We love seeing neighbors come together in such a fun and uplifting way! MA student Colin Lee captured it well in this MA Chronicle article.

The Association for California School Administrators, Region 5 (San Mateo and San Francisco counties) chose MPCSD's Kristen Gracia as Superintendent of the Year and Jackie Chen as Business Services Administrator of the Year. MPCSD is proud to have two exceptional leaders recognized, which highlights the strong team across the district that serves students, staff, families, and the community with integrity and dedication.
