PTO Sports - Basketball and Volleyball

Encinal Afterschool Sports Teams

We have 3 afterschool sports programs at Encinal Elementary: Girls Volleyball, Girls Basketball and Boys Basketball.  Please see the information below for each sport:

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Girls volleyball is open to ANY and ALL 4th and 5th grade girls at any skill level.

Information will be announced in the school newsletter and on ParentSquare. There will be a mandatory player evaluation day in early September. This will be in the large multi and everyone makes a team!

GIRLS BASKETBALL & BOYS BASKETBALL (3rd, 4th, 5th graders only)

Teams will be laying in the Menlo Park Recreation League, competing against other area schools and other Encinal teams. This is a fun developmental league and no basketball experience is necessary to play. All Encinal teams will be comprised of players with balanced skills and experience levels. All coaches are parent or teacher volunteers.

Encinal PTO is excited to offer Girls and Boys Basketball for the Winter 2022-2023 season.

Registration will be open in mid-October. We are expecting teams to be fully formed once registration is closed so it is unlikely for placement on a team once this is complete.

We are asking for volunteers to help coach for each grade level so that every Encinal Eagle has an opportunity to play. If you're able to volunteer or have questions about a scholarship, please email us at basketball@encinalschool.com.
